What is Homer?
Homer is a mobile application to help report your health status or location. You should only download the app if you have been informed by a Singapore Government Agency to do so.
Where can I download the Homer app?
Homer is available on both iOS and Android operating systems. To download the app, click on the link that matches your device.
How will I know if I need to download the app?
Your case officer from the Singapore Government Agency will provide you with instructions.
How do I register myself on the Homer app?
To register yourself, check if you have the following:
- An official notice asking you to download this app.
- A phone number that the authorities can contact you on throughout the duration of your order/notice.
Step 1:
Download the Homer app from your respective stores.
Step 2:
Go to the Homer app, and enter your phone number when prompted.
Step 3:
Tap on “Get OTP”, and wait to receive a 6 digit One Time Password (OTP).
Step 4:
Enter the 6 digit OTP, and tap “Verify”,
Step 5:
Read through the terms, and tap on the “Acknowledge” button if you agree to the terms.
Step 6:
Allow “Homer” to access your location services (See below).
Step 7:
Allow “Homer” to display push notifications (See below).
Why do I need to enable permissions for location services?
The order / notice requires you to report your location at regular intervals through the period of the order. This is to ensure that you are staying at your place of residence, and are adhering to the conditions of the order or notice.
How do I enable permissions for location services?

What happens if I do not enable permissions for location services on my device?
If location services are disabled, you will not be able to report your current location, and the relevant authorities will not be able to verify if you have fulfilled the obligations of your order / notice.
If subsequent attempts to verify your location fail, an enforcement officer may visit your place of residence to verify if you are complying to your order / notice.
Why do I need to enable permissions for push notifications?
During your monitoring period, you may be prompted to provide an ad-hoc health status declaration or proof of current location. You you receive these ad-hoc request via the push notifications, and will be required to respond within 15 minutes.

What happens if I do not enable permissions for push notifications on my device?
If push notifications are disable, you will not be able to receive reminder, alerts or warnings from the system.
If subsequent attempts to get in contact with you fail, an enforcement officer may visit your place of residence to verify if you are complying to your order / notice.
Why do I keep receiving notifications telling me not to close Homer?
- Your phone could have closed Homer by itself. See video tutorial here to Turn Battery Optimisation Off.
- Homer is closed in the background. Open Homer again and make sure it is running in the background at all times.
